Tanzania - Malaika Orphanage

The Malaika orphanage currently welcomes 14 orphans aged 3 months to 6 years old. Many have arrived sick, malnourished and uncared for. Thanks to this modest but deserving orphanage, they can now live in happy and safe surroundings and have access to education.

The children really benefit from having volunteers around, as they will be playing with them, taking general care of them, and teaching them some English at the same time. This is also a tremendous help for the local staff, who unfortunately don’t have the time to get involved in such activities.

The orphanage is located in a rural area twenty minutes by local transport from the main town of Arusha. Accommodation in host family is provided in Arusha.
