Tanzania - Environmental Project

Our new Environmental program in Ngaramtoni, set in the foothills of Mt Meru offers volunteers the opportunity to assess local environmental problems.

We work with OSOTWA, a local and long standing partner of MondoChallenge, who provide support throughout the project.

In this project, OSOTWA, with MondoChallenge volunteers conduct surveys to discover what the local population see as the main environmental problems in their area. After collecting the information through interviews within the village and sub villages, volunteers will analyse the data and prepare Funding Proposals.

OSOTWA provide local translators to assist with conducting the surveys; however volunteers should be highly motivated as they will be the driving force behind the project.

This project is our first Environmental project in Tanzania and is an excellent opportunity for those with a background in Environmental Science, Conservation or Natural Resource Management.
