Nepal
- Teaching in Chaukot and Shreekandapur
These projects offer volunteers the chance to teach in the hills with views of the Himalayas. It is a unique opportunity to live in a farming village and gain an insight into the culture and day to day lives of the wonderful Nepali people.
Our volunteers are currently teaching in Kavre Pananchok District in 2 schools:
- Shree Swait Ganesh Primary School
- Shreekandapur Primary School
The volunteers are playing a very active role at the school and helping in many ways. They live in the village with local families and share duties with the Nepali teachers. Recently they have started running adult literacy classes.
No specific qualifications are needed except a good level of general education and enthusiasm. Volunteers can work for various lengths of time and at various locations. We can generally arrange timetables to suite the skills of the volunteers and the needs of the school.
