Nepal

Living and working in Nepal is a fascinating experience! You will get the chance to be part of day to day life in this ancient and mystical country. You will be close to some of the world's best treks, and the Kathmandu valley - with its wonderful historic towns and temples.

Our projects all work with indigenous people to help them promote their skills and knowledge. Our programmes are not linked with any religious or political movement.

1. What projects are available in Nepal?

Teaching in Chaukot, at the village primary school. A small farming village among the rice fields with spectacular views of the mountains, this is a favourite start point for short treks. We also work in the nearby village of Shreekandapur. There is also the opportunity to live and work in the stunning capital, Kathmandu, where we currently support 3 schools.

2. Are there any special requirements for volunteers in Nepal?

All volunteers must be aged 18 or over. Volunteers for business development need to have at least 4 years relevant experience. Volunteers for teaching projects need an open mind, lots of enthusiasm and a sense of humour!

For further information, select one of our project locations listed on the right.
