Ecaudor - Volunteer Comments
Heather Ritchey - Apuela
'Everything is going well in Apuela, especially with the family I am staying with. They have been very kind and extremely accommodating. I am a vegetarian, which can be a real pain out here because people are not accustomed to it, but they have been quite terrific about it. I am living in one of the cabañas behind the family house and I have tons of space. It is beautiful here, and when I first arrived Roc was very helpful by giving me some pointers and showing me around…. Apuela is full of lovely people and I am sure you will enjoy your visit. I know that Luis (the principal) will be very happy to meet you!"
Stephanie Lipton - Puerto Lopez
'Everything in Puerto Lopez is going along swimmingly. I have not met the other volunteer, but I hope she´s having a good time as I am. My teaching project is really incredible, quite the experience. I am having a great time here in Lopez and I really adore the family I am living with"
Chris Schafenacker - Salango
'My first week was stellar, teaching is going really well!..Salango is incredible! The people, the place, the food, the scenery, and especially the children are all really wonderful…. Everything here is brilliant, two months isn´t enough time."
Genevieve Coombe - Peñaherrera
'All is going well in Penaherrera and I am really enjoying the experience. My host parents are great and their two little girls are gorgeous! The teaching is going well and the kids are very enthusiastic. It is a great time to be in Ecuador because there are lots of fiestas! The president and his wife have been very welcoming and I have been to stay with them in Nangulvi a couple of times…Teaching English via the radio is good fun too!"
