Teaching in Chile

Volunteer Comments

Abi Wright, UK
“Teaching has been so fun I have really enjoyed myself... hard work but fun... I am genuinely going to miss my family and friends here....”

Ed Fielding, UK
"Just so you know before we chat or meet I had a wonderful time in Chile and will have no problems being a vocal enthusiast for any listening ear about Mondo Challenge."

Karin Dudli, Canada
"The teaching was excellent. Once we got going and showed the teachers that we truly were dedicated to the cause the experience was great. I absolutely loved the arrangement and I felt like I was part of the family. We enjoyed meals together, played card games and just had a very nice relationship. I will always remember them and my time in Pisco Elqui."

Hannah Wallington, UK
"I wanted to let you know how it all went but more importantly to thank you for allowing me to have the most enlightening and treasurable experience of my life up to now. The teaching and the beauty of Pisco will be unforgettable to me, but above all it was the people i met in my time there who shall always have a special place in my heart. Forgive me if this sounds sickeningly cheesy but i cant find the right words to describe how special my experience was and I have you and the rest of the team to thank for giving me that opportunity. I am still in contact with the locals i made friends with, but I hope that I will never lose contact with Claudia and my beautiful host family who were and still are so special and important to me."

Sophie Nimmanit, USA
"Hello, I am back in the USA now, unpacked and serving pisco sour to my friends. I can't really believe that my three months are over and that I'm back home! The valley is a wonderful, beautiful place and the school is a wonderful family."

Liga Millers, UK
"I am very much enjoying teaching at Pisco Elqui. The children are enthusiastic, friendly and very excited if they know that I am taking their class that day. Teaching classes 2,3 and 4 three times a week means that I have been lucky enough to be able to plan a decent programme for these classes, that the children see some development and continuity in what they are learning and I see almost daily improvement. There has been nothing more satisfying than hearing the children practice newly taught songs and phrases outside the lessons."
